TIMAU POOL HOUSE
RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The objective of this project was to work from the architect’s existing layout drawings to create a refined, open-plan pool house that balances functionality with relaxed outdoor living. The space was thoughtfully divided into two distinct yet cohesive zones, each designed to enhance both entertaining and everyday enjoyment.
The first zone serves as a dedicated dining and hosting area - a place for family and friends to gather, connect, and share meals. A bespoke built-in counter was integrated to combine practicality with clean architectural lines, incorporating concealed storage, a drinks fridge, and a gas BBQ to support effortless entertaining while maintaining a streamlined aesthetic.

In contrast, the second zone was designed as a softer, more intimate lounge setting. Layered with comfortable soft seating, this space offers a calm retreat where the clients can unwind while remaining connected to the poolside environment.

Externally, a movable firepit anchors the outdoor setting, complemented by carefully selected furniture that enhances both comfort and visual cohesion. A neutral colour palette was intentionally chosen throughout to create a timeless, harmonious atmosphere, allowing the architecture and natural surroundings to remain the focal point.
